Sky Sport Secures Live Rights to LIV Golf and the Asian Tour from 2026

After losing the exclusive broadcasting rights for the DP World Tour and PGA Tour in the German-speaking region to Magenta TV by Telekom starting in 2026, Sky Sport has now secured the rights to LIV Golf and the key tournaments of the Asian Tour from 2026, offering around 600 hours of live golf coverage on TV.

Sky Responds to Rights Loss by Partnering with LIV Golf and Asian Tour

Hans Gabbe, Senior Vice President Sports Rights & Commercialization at Sky Deutschland, is pleased that Sky Sport will hold long-term rights to all four men’s major tournaments, the five women’s majors, all important women’s tournaments, and additionally the LIV Golf League and the Asian Tour. He stated, ‘The global schedule of LIV Golf and its unique team and individual competition formats provide fans access to some of the biggest golf stars and great venues. Our customers can look forward to innovatively produced golf events and many of the most exciting and top players in the world.’

The partnership starts Friday, January 9, 2026, with live coverage of the qualifying event “LIV Golf Promotions 2026” at Black Diamond Ranch in Florida, featuring an international field competing for three coveted wildcard spots for the LIV Golf League 2026 season. Participants include German pros Dominic Foos, Max Kieffer, Max Rottluff, and Austrian Matthias Schwab. Sky Sport Golf will broadcast LIV Golf Promotions live daily from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

With the LIV Golf League and the Asian Tour and a total of over 1,000 hours of live coverage annually, Sky Sport continues to offer a comprehensive golf program. Coverage of DP World Tour and PGA Tour tournaments will be available from January 15, 2026, on Magenta TV. Golf fans wanting weekly live access to major tournaments will need two subscriptions in the future.
