Sky extends DP World Tour and Ryder Cup TV rights through 2029

Sky and the DP World Tour have extended their partnership through 2029, keeping Sky Sports UK as the TV home of the Ryder Cup and the DP World Tour.

The new agreement, effective from 2026, ensures Sky Sports will exclusively broadcast the next two editions of golf’s most iconic team competition — the 2027 Ryder Cup at Adare Manor in Ireland and the 2029 Ryder Cup at Hazeltine in the United States.

This renewal follows Team Europe’s historic victory at the 2025 Ryder Cup just over a month ago, which marked the most-watched weekend in Sky Sports history, attracting 5 million viewers across the three-day event. The Sunday singles session delivered Sky Sports’ highest-ever golf viewership, with one in four TV viewers tuning in for the dramatic finale.

Sky to continue as key broadcaster for DP World Tour

Under the new deal, Sky Sports UK viewers will continue to enjoy coverage of the DP World Tour’s global schedule, which in 2026 will span 25 countries and include five Rolex Series events — the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, Genesis Scottish Open, BMW PGA Championship, Abu Dhabi Championship, and the DP World Tour Championship.

Jonathan Licht, Chief Sports Officer at Sky, said: “Extending our long-standing partnership with the DP World Tour comes at a time when golf viewership is reaching record highs. This year’s Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black once again proved why it’s one of the most compelling events in sport, and we’re excited to bring fans the next two editions. We also saw record audiences for this year’s Amgen Irish Open and expect many unforgettable moments in the Race to Dubai over the next four years.”

Guy Kinnings, CEO of the DP World Tour, added: “This year’s Ryder Cup showed once again that golf’s biggest team event delivers drama few other sports can match. With Sky Sports’ storytelling power secured for another four years, we’re well positioned to keep growing our fanbase.”
