Sky extends DP World Tour partnership through 2029

Sky and the DP World Tour have extended their partnership through 2029, keeping Sky Sports UK as the TV home of the Ryder Cup.

The new agreement, effective from 2026, ensures Sky Sports will exclusively broadcast the next two editions of golf’s most iconic team event – the 2027 Ryder Cup at Adare Manor in Ireland and the 2029 edition at Hazeltine in the United States.

This extension follows Team Europe’s historic win at the 2025 Ryder Cup, which became the most-watched weekend in Sky Sports history, drawing 5 million viewers over the three-day event. The Sunday singles session set a new record for golf viewership on Sky Sports, with one in four TV viewers tuning in for the dramatic finale.

Sky remains key broadcast partner for DP World Tour

Under the renewed deal, Sky Sports UK will continue to provide comprehensive coverage of the DP World Tour’s global schedule, which in 2026 will span 25 countries and include five Rolex Series events: the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, Genesis Scottish Open, BMW PGA Championship, Abu Dhabi Championship, and the DP World Tour Championship.

Jonathan Licht, Chief Sports Officer at Sky, said: “Extending our long-standing partnership with the DP World Tour comes at a time when golf viewership is hitting record highs. The Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black once again proved why it’s one of the world’s most captivating sporting events, and we’re excited to bring fans the next two editions. We also saw record audiences for this year’s Amgen Irish Open and anticipate many more unforgettable moments in the Race to Dubai over the next four years.”

Guy Kinnings, CEO of the DP World Tour, added: “This year’s Ryder Cup showed once again that golf’s biggest team competition delivers drama few other sports can match. With Sky Sports’ storytelling power secured for another four years, we’re well positioned to grow our fanbase even further.”
