Sky and the DP World Tour have extended their partnership through 2029, with Sky Sports UK remaining the TV home of the Ryder Cup and the DP World Tour.
The new agreement, effective from 2026, ensures Sky Sports will exclusively broadcast the next two editions of golf’s most iconic team competition – the 2027 Ryder Cup at Adare Manor in Ireland and the 2029 edition at Hazeltine in the United States.
Sky Sports’ golf coverage has drawn significant viewership this year. The extension follows Team Europe’s historic victory at the 2025 Ryder Cup just over a month ago, marking the most-watched weekend in Sky Sports history with 5 million viewers over the three-day event. The Sunday singles session recorded the highest-ever golf audience on Sky Sports, with one in four TV viewers tuning in for the dramatic finale.
Sky remains key broadcast partner of the DP World Tour
Under the renewed deal, Sky Sports UK viewers will continue to enjoy coverage of the DP World Tour’s global schedule, which in 2026 will visit 25 countries. This includes five Rolex Series events – the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, Genesis Scottish Open, BMW PGA Championship, Abu Dhabi Championship, and the DP World Tour Championship.
Jonathan Licht, Chief Sports Officer at Sky, commented: “Renewing our long-standing partnership with the DP World Tour comes at a time when golf viewership is reaching record highs. This year’s Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black once again proved why it’s one of the most compelling sporting events in the world, and we look forward to bringing fans the next two editions. We also saw record audiences for this year’s Amgen Irish Open, and we’re confident there are many unforgettable moments ahead in the season-long Race to Dubai.”
Guy Kinnings, CEO of the DP World Tour, added: “This year’s Ryder Cup has shown once again that golf’s biggest team event delivers drama few other sports can match. With Sky Sports’ storytelling power secured for another four years, we’re well positioned to grow our fanbase even further.”
