Gregor Biernath moves from Sky to MagentaTV, strengthening the new golf team ahead of extensive live broadcasts.
After MagentaTV secured exclusive broadcast rights for the Ryder Cup, the DP World Tour, and the PGA Tour, a prominent commentator from Sky Sport is now switching to MagentaTV. Gregor Biernath: ‘Something New and Good for Golf is Emerging’
Gregor Biernath, one of the most well-known golf voices in the German-speaking world, is moving from Sky to MagentaTV. Biernath will lead the new expert team, supported by golf experts Florian Zunker, Bernd Ritthammer, and Max Kramer. On his move, Biernath stated: ‘The entire team immediately gave me the feeling that something new and good for golf is emerging here. We can shape golf innovatively at MagentaTV and stir things up.’ He also described the new team as a ‘cool editorial team’ with a ‘really good mix.’
New faces have also been found in the commentator area. Michael Born, previously known for handball and football commentary at DAZN, will in future commentate golf events alongside Herbert Gogel and Stephan Gandel. Additionally, Holger Speckhahn, best known as an ice hockey presenter for MagentaSport, will also accompany the upcoming live broadcasts.
