Scottie Scheffler’s consistency earns him PGA Tour Player of the Year honors

The PGA Tour has named Scottie Scheffler its Player of the Year for the fourth straight season. The World No. 1 once again receives the prestigious Jack Nicklaus Award, voted on by PGA Tour members who played at least 15 events.

Scheffler’s 2025 season was a masterclass in consistency: six wins in 20 starts, 17 top-10 finishes, and his worst result being a T25. “Looking back over the last few years, what I’m most proud of is how consistent I’ve been,” Scheffler said.

PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp praised Scheffler’s performance: “Scottie’s sustained level of excellence is nothing short of spectacular.”

Rory McIlroy was also a strong contender, with wins at the Masters and Ryder Cup, completing his career Grand Slam. However, Scheffler’s volume of titles ultimately tipped the scales in his favor.
