Ben Griffin claims third PGA Tour win of the season

Ben Griffin secures another PGA Tour victory, while Matti Schmid finishes strong with a Top 10 placement.

Ben Griffin wins World Wide Technology Championship

Starting the final round two shots behind, Ben Griffin surged to victory at the World Wide Technology Championship, finishing two strokes ahead to claim his third PGA Tour win of the season. With this triumph, he joins elite company alongside Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy, who also have three wins this year.

“Crazy — three wins and a wedding in the same year, it doesn’t get much better,” said Griffin, who is set to marry his fiancée Dana Myeroff next month. He quickly applied pressure on leader Garrick Higgo with three birdies in the first four holes, briefly sharing the lead. Although a mistake on hole 5 allowed Higgo to pull ahead again, Griffin responded with a streak of five consecutive birdies to take control. Higgo’s double bogey on the 12th hole ended his title hopes. Chad Ramey and Sami Valimaki made late charges with four birdies each, but Griffin sealed the win with a birdie on the final hole.

Strong finishes for Schmid, Paul, and Rosenmüller

Matti Schmid, who had slipped on Moving Day, rebounded with a 66 to secure a Top 10 finish. Jeremy Paul also carded a 66 to finish T16, while Thomas Rosenmüller ended one stroke behind at T17.
