The round two of Valero Texas Open, one of the events in the PGA Tour, took place at TPC San Antonio (Oaks Course), in San Antonio, Texas, USA.

At the top of the Leaderboard, Akshay Bhatia from the USA secured the first position with a total score of -11 and a daily score of -2. In the tied second position, Brendon Todd, Russell Henley, and Denny McCarthy, all from the USA, stood with a total score of -6. While Todd had a daily score of Even Par, Henley and McCarthy performed slightly better with daily scores of -3 and -2 respectively. This resulted in a total score for all three players of -6 under par. Securing the fifth position is Rory McIlroy from Northern Ireland. Despite his daily score of -2, McIlroy’s total score stands at -5 under par.

An impressive sum of $9,200,000 is to be won as tournament prize money. The video attached is a compilation of the Valero Texas Open highlights from round two.

Golf tournaments like this one end after four rounds, gearing up for exciting conclusions in the coming rounds. The action doesn’t stop here, as the race continues towards the concluding rounds and ultimately, to the crowning of the champion. All eyes are now on the upcoming round three and ultimately the final round – four, where the winner of the Valero Texas Open will be declared.

About the PGA Tour

The PGA Tour is the largest American professional golf tour. There are 36 tournaments on the tour’s schedule this season. The tournaments mainly take place in the USA, but there are also some international venues over the course of the season. The signature events introduced in 2023 offer higher prize money and a smaller field of participants. There will be a total of eight of these events in the 2024 season. The four Majors and the Players Championship are also part of the PGA Tour. At the end of the tours season, the 70 best players in the FedEx Cup season rankings will play in a three-tournament play-off for overall tour victory and an extra 18 million dollars in prize money.
