As the first tee times are announced for the Farmers Insurance Open, all eyes turn once again to Torrey Pines – one of the most iconic venues on the PGA Tour. The challenging South Course, with its long par-4s, narrow fairways, and notorious greens, is a true test of skill, while the slightly shorter North Course appears more scorable but offers no freebies. This mix ensures a high-quality field and early sporting excitement each year.
From a German perspective, the tournament start is especially interesting: Stephan Jäger, Thomas Rosenmüller, Matti Schmid, and Jeremy Paul are set to compete. Jäger and Rosenmüller have the opportunity for an aggressive start on the North Course, while Schmid faces strong international competition right from the start on the South Course.
Brooks Koepka’s PGA Tour Comeback
Another major highlight is Brooks Koepka’s comeback on the PGA Tour. The multiple major winner tees off alongside Ludvig Åberg and Max Homa on the South Course – a group likely to draw early tournament and fan attention. Koepka’s return adds extra star quality to the already strong field, making the Farmers Insurance Open even more exciting. The tournament will be broadcast on MagentaTV on Thursday and Friday from 17:30 CET and on Saturday and Sunday from 18:00 CET.
