When the first tee times for the Farmers Insurance Open are announced, all eyes turn once again to Torrey Pines – one of the most iconic venues on the PGA Tour. The challenging South Course, with its long par 4s, narrow fairways, and notorious greens, is a true test, while the slightly shorter North Course seems more scorable but offers no gifts either. This mix ensures a high-quality field and early sporting excitement every year.
From a German perspective, the tournament start is especially interesting: Stephan Jäger, Thomas Rosenmüller, Matti Schmid, and Jeremy Paul will all tee off. Jäger and Rosenmüller have the chance for an aggressive start on the North Course, while Schmid on the South Course faces strong international competition right from the start.
Brooks Koepka’s Comeback on the PGA Tour
Another big topic is the comeback of multiple major winner Brooks Koepka on the PGA Tour. He will tee off on the South Course alongside Ludvig Åberg and Max Homa – a group likely to draw early tournament and fan attention. Koepka’s return adds extra star power to an already high-caliber field, making the Farmers Insurance Open even more exciting. The tournament will be broadcast on MagentaTV Thursday and Friday from 5:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 p.m. (in German time).
