As the first tee times are announced for the Farmers Insurance Open, all eyes turn once again to Torrey Pines – one of the most iconic venues on the PGA Tour. The challenging South Course, with its long par-4 holes, narrow fairways, and notorious greens, is considered a true test, while the somewhat shorter North Course may seem more scorable but also offers no gifts. This combination ensures a high-caliber field and early sporting excitement every year.
From a German perspective, the tournament start is particularly interesting: Stephan Jäger, Thomas Rosenmüller, Matti Schmid and Jeremy Paul will tee off. Jäger and Rosenmüller have the opportunity for an aggressive start on the North Course, while Schmid faces strong international competition directly on the South Course.
Brooks Koepka’s Comeback on the PGA Tour
Another major topic is Brooks Koepka’s return to the PGA Tour. The multiple major winner tees off together with Ludvig Åberg and Max Homa on the South Course – a grouping that is sure to attract early tournament and fan attention. Koepka’s return adds extra star power to an already high-quality field, making the Farmers Insurance Open even more exciting. The tournament will be broadcast on MagentaTV Thursday and Friday from 17:30 CET and Saturday and Sunday from 18:00 CET.
