When the first tee times are announced for the Farmers Insurance Open, attention once again turns to Torrey Pines – one of the most iconic venues on the PGA Tour. The demanding South Course, with its long par-4s, narrow fairways, and notorious greens, is a true test, while the slightly shorter North Course appears scorable but offers no giveaways. This combination ensures a top-class field and early competitive excitement every year.
From a German perspective, the tournament start is especially interesting: Stephan Jäger, Thomas Rosenmüller, Matti Schmid, and Jeremy Paul are all set to tee off. Jäger and Rosenmüller have the opportunity for an aggressive start on the North Course, while Schmid will face strong international competition directly on the South Course.
Brooks Koepka’s Comeback on the PGA Tour
Another major storyline is the comeback of Brooks Koepka on the PGA Tour. The multiple major winner tees off on the South Course alongside Ludvig Åberg and Max Homa – a group sure to draw early attention from fans and the media alike. Koepka’s return adds extra star power to an already high-caliber field and makes the Farmers Insurance Open even more exciting. The tournament will be broadcast on MagentaTV Thursday and Friday from 5:30 PM and on Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 PM (all times in German time).
