As the first tee times are announced for the Farmers Insurance Open, all eyes are on Torrey Pines – one of the most iconic venues on the PGA Tour. The challenging South Course, with its long par-4s, narrow fairways, and infamous greens, is considered a true test, while the slightly shorter North Course may seem scorable but offers no easy rides. This combination annually ensures a strong field and early on-course excitement.
From a German perspective, the tournament start is particularly interesting: Stephan Jäger, Thomas Rosenmüller, Matti Schmid, and Jeremy Paul will all tee off. Jäger and Rosenmüller have opportunities for an aggressive start on the North Course, while Schmid faces tough international competition right away on the South Course.
Brooks Koepka’s Return to the PGA Tour
Another major talking point is the comeback of Brooks Koepka on the PGA Tour. The multiple major winner will tee off alongside Ludvig Åberg and Max Homa on the South Course – a group attracting early tournament and fan attention. Koepka’s return adds extra star power to an already elite field, making the Farmers Insurance Open even more thrilling. The tournament will be broadcast on MagentaTV Thursday and Friday from 17:30 and Saturday and Sunday from 18:00 (German time).
