As the Farmers Insurance Open kicks off with the first tee times, all eyes turn once again to Torrey Pines – one of the most iconic venues on the PGA Tour. The demanding South Course, with its long par-4s, narrow fairways, and notorious greens, presents a true challenge, while the somewhat shorter North Course appears more scorable but offers no easy gifts. This combination creates a high-class field and early sporting excitement every year.
From a German perspective, the tournament start is particularly interesting: Stephan Jäger, Thomas Rosenmüller, Matti Schmid and Jeremy Paul will be teeing off. Jäger and Rosenmüller have the chance for an aggressive start on the North Course, while Schmid faces strong international competition right away on the South Course.
Brooks Koepka’s Comeback on the PGA Tour
Another major storyline is the comeback of Brooks Koepka on the PGA Tour. The multiple major champion tees off alongside Ludvig Åberg and Max Homa on the South Course – a trio likely to attract early tournament and fan attention. Koepka’s return adds extra star power to an already top-tier field, making the Farmers Insurance Open even more exciting. The tournament will be broadcast on MagentaTV on Thursday and Friday from 5:30 PM and on Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 PM (all times in German time zone).
