When the first tee times are announced for the Farmers Insurance Open, attention once again turns to Torrey Pines – one of the most iconic venues on the PGA Tour. The challenging South Course, with its long par-4s, narrow fairways, and notorious greens, is a true test, while the slightly shorter North Course may seem more scorable but gives no gifts. This combination ensures a high-quality field and early sporting excitement each year.
From a German perspective, the tournament start is especially interesting: Stephan Jäger, Thomas Rosenmüller, Matti Schmid, and Jeremy Paul are all teeing off. Jäger and Rosenmüller have the chance for an aggressive start on the North Course, while Schmid faces strong international competition on the South Course.
Brooks Koepka’s Comeback on the PGA Tour
Another major topic is the return of Brooks Koepka to the PGA Tour. The multiple major champion tees off on the South Course together with Ludvig Åberg and Max Homa – a group that is sure to attract early tournament and fan attention. Koepka’s comeback adds extra star power to an already top-tier field, making the Farmers Insurance Open even more thrilling. The tournament will be broadcast on MagentaTV Thursday and Friday from 18:00 and Saturday and Sunday from 17:00 (German time).
