When the first tee times are announced for the Farmers Insurance Open, all eyes turn once again to Torrey Pines – one of the most iconic venues on the PGA Tour. The challenging South Course, with its long par-4s, narrow fairways, and notorious greens, is a true test, while the slightly shorter North Course may seem more scorable but offers no easy gifts. This combination guarantees a top-class field and early sporting excitement each year.
From a German perspective, the tournament kickoff is particularly interesting: Stephan Jäger, Thomas Rosenmüller, Matti Schmid, and Jeremy Paul will be competing. Jäger and Rosenmüller have the chance for an aggressive start on the North Course, while Schmid faces strong international competition on the South Course.
Brooks Koepka’s Comeback on the PGA Tour
Another major highlight is Brooks Koepka’s comeback on the PGA Tour. The multiple major winner tees off alongside Ludvig Åberg and Max Homa on the South Course – a group sure to draw early attention from fans and the tournament alike. Koepka’s return adds extra star power to the already impressive field and makes the Farmers Insurance Open even more exciting. The tournament will be broadcast on MagentaTV Thursday and Friday from 18:00 and Saturday and Sunday from 17:00 (German time).
