As the first Tee Times of the Farmers Insurance Open are announced, all eyes turn once again to Torrey Pines – one of the most iconic venues on the PGA Tour. The challenging South Course, with its long par-4s, narrow fairways, and notorious greens, poses a true test, while the somewhat shorter North Course appears scorable but also offers no easy rewards. This combination annually delivers a top-class field and early sporting excitement.
From a German perspective, the tournament’s start is particularly interesting: Stephan Jäger, Thomas Rosenmüller, Matti Schmid, and Jeremy Paul are all set to tee off. Jäger and Rosenmüller have a chance for an aggressive start on the North Course, while Schmid faces strong international competition directly on the South Course.
Brooks Koepka’s Comeback on the PGA Tour
Another major topic is the comeback of Brooks Koepka on the PGA Tour. The multiple major winner will tee off on the South Course together with Ludvig Åberg and Max Homa – a flight likely to attract early tournament and fan attention. Koepka’s return adds extra star power to an already high-caliber field, making the Farmers Insurance Open even more exciting. The tournament will be broadcast on MagentaTV on Thursday and Friday from 18:00 and on Saturday and Sunday from 17:00 (German time).
