As the first tee times are announced for the Farmers Insurance Open, all eyes turn once again to Torrey Pines – one of the most iconic venues on the PGA Tour. The challenging South Course, featuring long par-4s, narrow fairways, and notorious greens, is a real test, while the slightly shorter North Course appears more scorable but offers no easy gifts. This combination creates a high-caliber field and early sporting excitement each year.
From a German perspective, the tournament start is especially interesting: Stephan Jäger, Thomas Rosenmüller, Matti Schmid, and Jeremy Paul are all in the field. Jäger and Rosenmüller have a chance for an aggressive start on the North Course, whereas Schmid faces strong international competition right away on the South Course.

Another major highlight is the comeback of Brooks Koepka on the PGA Tour. The multiple major winner tees off together with Ludvig Åberg and Max Homa on the South Course – a group likely to draw early attention from fans and tournament followers. Koepka’s return adds extra star power to an already strong field, making the Farmers Insurance Open even more exciting. The tournament is broadcast on MagentaTV Thursday and Friday from 6:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 5:00 pm (CET).
