As the first tee times are announced for the Farmers Insurance Open, all eyes turn again to Torrey Pines – one of the most iconic venues on the PGA Tour. The challenging South Course, with its long par-4s, narrow fairways, and famed greens, is a true test, while the slightly shorter North Course looks more scorable but gives no gifts either. This blend annually creates a high-class field and early sporting excitement.
From a German perspective, the tournament start is particularly interesting: Stephan Jäger, Thomas Rosenmüller, Matti Schmid, and Jeremy Paul take part. Jäger and Rosenmüller have the chance for an aggressive start on the North Course, while Schmid is immediately challenged by strong international competition on the South Course.
Brooks Koepka’s Comeback on the PGA Tour
Another major topic is the comeback of multiple major winner Brooks Koepka on the PGA Tour. He tees off together with Ludvig Åberg and Max Homa on the South Course – a group likely to draw early tournament and fan attention. Koepka’s return adds extra star power to the already prestigious field and makes the Farmers Insurance Open even more exciting. The tournament is broadcast on MagentaTV Thursday and Friday from 18:00 CET and Saturday and Sunday from 17:00 CET.
