When the first tee times are announced for the Farmers Insurance Open, the spotlight once again falls on Torrey Pines – one of the most iconic venues on the PGA Tour. The challenging South Course, with its long par-4 holes, narrow fairways, and notorious greens, is a true test, while the slightly shorter North Course appears scorable but is no pushover either. This combination creates a high-class field and early sporting excitement every year.
From a German perspective, the tournament start is particularly interesting: Stephan Jäger, Thomas Rosenmüller, Matti Schmid and Jeremy Paul will tee off. Jäger and Rosenmüller have a chance for an aggressive start on the North Course, while Schmid faces strong international competition on the South Course.
Brooks Koepka’s Comeback on the PGA Tour
Another major topic is the comeback of Brooks Koepka on the PGA Tour. The multiple major winner tees off with Ludvig Åberg and Max Homa on the South Course – a flight sure to draw early tournament and fan attention. Koepka’s return adds extra star power to an already high-caliber field, making the Farmers Insurance Open even more exciting. The tournament will be broadcast on MagentaTV on Thursday and Friday from 6:00 PM and on Saturday and Sunday from 5:00 PM (German time).
