As the first tee times are called at the Farmers Insurance Open, all eyes turn again to Torrey Pines – one of the most iconic venues on the PGA Tour. The demanding South Course, with its long par-4s, narrow fairways, and notorious greens, presents a true test, while the slightly shorter North Course appears more scorable but offers no gifts. This combination every year ensures a top-class field and early sporting tension.
From a German perspective, the tournament start is particularly interesting: Stephan Jäger, Thomas Rosenmüller, Matti Schmid, and Jeremy Paul tee off. Jäger and Rosenmüller have the chance for an aggressive start on the North Course, while Schmid is directly challenged on the South Course by strong international competition.
Brooks Koepka’s Comeback on the PGA Tour
Another big topic is the comeback of Brooks Koepka on the PGA Tour. The multiple major winner tees off together with Ludvig Åberg and Max Homa on the South Course – a group likely to attract early tournament and fan focus. Koepka’s return adds extra star power to an already high-caliber field, making the Farmers Insurance Open even more exciting. The tournament will be broadcast on MagentaTV Thursday and Friday from 6pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 5pm.
