Sepp Straka takes lead at Hero World Challenge with stunning 64

Sepp Straka takes the lead at the Hero World Challenge with a brilliant 64, closely followed by World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler.

The Hero World Challenge on the PGA Tour entered its third round on Saturday at the Albany Resort golf course on New Providence, the most populated island in the Bahamas. This exclusive invitational event hosted by golf legend Tiger Woods offers world ranking points but no FedExCup points. Woods aims to support his TGR Foundation with the tournament proceeds. Austrian Sepp Straka now tops the leaderboard, just ahead of World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, who slips to second after sharing the lead with Straka over the first two rounds.

Sepp Straka shines with a spectacular 64

Sepp Straka delivered a spectacular 64 on Saturday, jumping five spots to take the lead at 17-under-par. His front nine was flawless, featuring three birdies and an eagle on the sixth hole. Despite carding eight birdies and an eagle, Scheffler’s three bogeys dropped him to second place at 16-under-par.

Noren and Matsuyama tied for third

Sweden’s Alex Noren and Japan’s Hideki Matsuyama share third place at 14-under-par. Noren climbed three spots with a 67, while Matsuyama dropped two positions after a 68 on Saturday.
