Stephan Jäger starts a strong comeback with a flawless 65, climbing 39 spots to T6 before the final round.
The Farmers Insurance Open on the PGA Tour at Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego, California, remains thrilling. At the top, 45-year-old American Justin Rose holds firm despite setbacks on the back nine of the third round.
Rose Holds Lead Despite Struggles on Back Nine
On the front nine, Rose shined with four birdies but took three bogeys on the back nine. Three more birdies in the second half led to a 68-round. Though he could not match his 62 on Thursday or 65 on Friday, Rose stays atop the leaderboard with a six-shot lead at 21 under par.
American Joel Dahmen follows with a strong 68 on the third day, moving to solo second at 15 under par. Close behind are two Asian players at 13 under par each: Japan’s Ryo Hisatsune and South Korea’s Si Woo Kim share third place (T3).
Both faced challenges on the South Course on Saturday. Hisatsune balanced two bogeys on the front nine with three birdies and was bogey-free on the back nine with three further birdies, finishing with a 68-round. Kim shot a 69, including a double bogey on 12, but made seven birdies to end three under par.

German Stephan Jäger rebounded strongly after a 75 on Friday, shooting a flawless 65 with seven birdies on Saturday. This leap moved him up 39 positions to a tie for sixth place (T6) heading into the final round.
Brooks Koepka, making his comeback on the PGA Tour from LIV Golf at the Farmers Insurance Open, had a mediocre third round and stands tied for 61st at one over par. Matti Schmid made the cut but moved only up 15 spots to tie for 30th after a 70-round.
