PGA Tour: Rosenmüller’s eagle powers late surge

Thomas Rosenmüller impressed on Day 2 in Bermuda with a steady round and a clutch eagle near the end. The round began with ups and downs, including a bogey on the 2nd hole after struggling to reach the green. He bounced back with a birdie on the 6th, followed by another bogey on the 7th, but recovered again with a birdie on the 8th to make the turn at even par. On the back nine, the 28-year-old played more confidently, adding a birdie on the 10th. The highlight came at the par-5 17th, where he reached the green in two and sank the eagle putt. He finished the day at 3-under, placing him T24 heading into the weekend.

Matti Schmid also made up ground with a solid round. He started hot with three straight birdies on holes 12, 13, and 14. However, he lost momentum with bogeys on 15 and 18, turning at 1-under. On the front nine, he played steady golf, adding a birdie on the 11th and avoiding further mistakes. His 69 moved him up to T46.

Jeremy Paul fades late but makes the cut

Jeremy Paul, who opened with a 69 on Thursday, had a quiet start to his second round, staying at even par through 14 holes with consistent play. Trouble came late, starting with a poor drive that led to a bogey. He recovered with a birdie on 17 but stumbled on the 18th, needing extra shots to reach the green and three-putting for a double bogey. His 73 left him at even par for the tournament, just inside the cut line.
