Patrick Reed Has Not Yet Renewed LIV Golf Contract Ahead of 2026 Season

Following his victory in Dubai, Patrick Reed faces a decision as his LIV Golf contract remains unsigned and the Riyadh season opener approaches.

At a press conference after his win at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic on the DP World Tour, Texan Patrick Reed spoke about his future with the Saudi-backed golf league LIV Golf. When asked whether he would participate in the LIV Golf season opener in Riyadh in early February, Reed—who has played since June 2022 on the LIV Golf team 4Aces GC—initially said he should be \”ready\” for the next LIV season, but further questioning followed.

LIV Golf Contract Not Yet Renewed

It emerged that the 35-year-old has not yet renewed his contract with LIV Golf and aims to finalize the terms with the Saudi league within about two weeks before the LIV Golf Riyadh event from February 4 to 7. \”We are still working on the contract details,\” Reed said, adding, \”We are not finished yet.\”

Reed explained that during tournament phases, he focuses little on business matters: \”I don’t like to talk business or similar things while playing. That’s why Monday through Wednesday is the only time for that,\” he added. \”When I came here this week, I knew that from Thursday on I would focus only on golf. As of tonight and tomorrow, we can talk about other things again.\”
