Odyssey Introduces AI-Powered Ai-DUAL Putters for Enhanced Precision

Odyssey uses AI: The new Ai-DUAL putters improve ball speed and precision through intelligent insert design.

Odyssey, a subsidiary of Callaway, has expanded its putter line with the new Ai-DUAL models, combining material innovation and novel design. Central to these putters is the Ai-DUAL insert, a two-layer urethane element developed using artificial intelligence. It features a soft outer layer and a firmer inner layer designed to provide consistent ball speed across the entire face as well as improved forward roll. This insert is complemented by the new Forward Roll Design (FRD) groove, which is deeper and more pronounced at a 19-degree angle than in previous models, ensuring the ball rolls forward more evenly across the face.

Entry-Level Models Also Designed with Artificial Intelligence

The Ai-DUAL putters come in various versions. The standard models feature a lightweight steel shaft with a counterbalance at the grip end to stabilize the stroke. For players preferring a different balance, Odyssey offers Cruiser versions with heavier heads, longer and heavier shafts, and extended grips.

The Odyssey Ai-DUAL Square 2 as a Zero-Torque Putter

An extension to the line is the Ai-DUAL Square 2 Square putters, which have a modern, centrally mounted shaft design. This design places the shaft below the center of gravity, causing the putter to rest slightly upward at the tip and achieving the so-called \”Zero Torque\” effect. This construction keeps the face relatively square throughout the stroke. Additionally, these models feature a preset two-degree forward shaft lean designed to prevent accidental face opening when the hands press forward. A specially developed reverse taper grip compensates this setting, enabling comfortable, parallel alignment of grip and face.
