Odyssey Integrates AI into Golf: Ai-DUAL Putters Enhance Precision

Odyssey introduces AI with Ai-DUAL Putters, improving ball speed and putting precision through intelligent insert design.

Odyssey, a subsidiary of Callaway, has expanded its putter line with the new Ai-DUAL models, combining material innovation and novel design. Central to this is the Ai-DUAL Insert, a two-layer urethane element developed with artificial intelligence. It features a soft outer layer and a firmer inner layer, aimed at providing consistent ball speed across the face and enhanced forward roll. This insert is complemented by the new Forward Roll Design (FRD) groove, crafted with a 19-degree incline that is deeper and more pronounced than previous models to ensure more consistent forward roll across the face.

AI-Driven Entry-Level Models

The Ai-DUAL putters come in various configurations. Standard models feature a lightweight steel shaft with counterweight at the grip end to stabilize the stroke. For players seeking different balance, Odyssey offers Cruiser variants equipped with heavier heads, longer and heavier shafts, and longer grips.

The Odyssey Ai-Dual Square 2 Zero-Torque Putter

An extension of the line is the Ai-DUAL Square 2 Square putters featuring a modern, mid-shafted design. This positions the shaft below the center of gravity, causing the putter to rest slightly tip-up and achieves a ‘Zero Torque’ effect. This design keeps the face relatively square during the stroke. Additionally, these models have a preset two-degree forward shaft lean to prevent accidental face opening during forward pressing of the hands. A specially designed reverse-taper grip balances this setting, allowing for comfortable, parallel alignment of the grip and face.
