Odyssey introduces AI-powered Ai-DUAL Putters for improved putting precision

Odyssey uses AI: The new Ai-DUAL Putters feature intelligent insert design to enhance ball speed and putting accuracy.

Odyssey, a subsidiary of Callaway, has expanded its putter line with the new Ai-DUAL models, combining material innovation and novel design. At the core is the Ai-DUAL insert, a two-layer urethane component developed with Artificial Intelligence. It features a soft outer layer and a firmer inner layer designed to provide consistent ball speed across the face and improved forward roll. The insert is complemented by the new Forward Roll Design (FRD) groove, which is 19 degrees deeper and more pronounced than previous models, promoting more consistent forward roll across the face.

Entry-Level Models Also Developed with Artificial Intelligence

The Ai-DUAL putters come in various versions. Standard models have a lightweight steel shaft with counterbalance weight at the grip end to stabilize the stroke. For players preferring different balance, Odyssey offers Cruiser variants featuring heavier heads, longer and heavier shafts, and extended grips.

The Odyssey Ai-Dual Square 2 as a Zero-Torque Putter

An extension of the line is the Ai-DUAL Square 2 Square putters, featuring a modern center-shafted design. This positions the shaft below the center of gravity so the putter tip rests slightly upward, achieving a ‘Zero Torque’ effect. This keeps the face relatively square during the stroke. Additionally, these models have a preset 2-degree forward shaft lean to prevent accidental face opening from forward hand pressure. A specially developed reverse-taper grip balances this setting, allowing comfortable, parallel alignment of grip and face.
