Mizuno introduces the JPX ONE series – drivers, fairway woods, and hybrids featuring high-tech faces for increased speed, control, and signature Mizuno feel.
The Japanese golf manufacturer Mizuno, founded in 1906, presents its new family of woods in the JPX ONE series. It includes a new driver as well as various fairway woods and hybrids that aim to redefine ball speed, forgiveness, and feel according to the manufacturer.
Mizuno JPX ONE: Driver with NANOALLOY Technology
The flagship driver in the new woods is the JPX ONE Driver – the world’s first driver featuring NANOALLOY face technology. Developed in collaboration with Japanese chemistry and materials company Toray, Mizuno created a novel microscopic polymer dispersion that dynamically changes the elasticity of the face at impact. This material stores and releases more energy compared to traditional titanium or composite constructions, resulting in higher ball speeds across a larger sweet spot.
Paired with the newly developed CORTECH face, which is up to 0.35 mm thinner than previous generations, the so-called CORAREA (High-Speed-Rebound Zone) is increased by more than 15% compared to the ST-MAX series. Mizuno has introduced two driver models: the regular JPX ONE Driver with a slightly larger clubhead for enhanced stability and straighter ball flight, and the JPX ONE SELECT with a compact, tour-proven shape and neutral to fade-biased weighting. Both models feature adjustable weight systems and a Quick-Switch hosel to precisely tune launch and spin for individual preferences.
Fairway Woods: CORTECH Technology for Maximum Energy Transfer
Also introduced are new fairway woods in the JPX ONE series, featuring a newly designed CORTECH chamber where the internal distance between sole and chamber wall is varied to maximize energy transfer across the entire face without sacrificing center-face performance. Each clubhead has a surrounding composite crown to save weight high on the head and lower the center of gravity, promoting higher launch and reduced spin.
The MAS1C steel face with variable thickness offers maximum energy efficiency at impact. The newly developed sole optimizes turf interaction, ensuring cleaner contact and consistent ball speeds from various lies. With lofts ranging from 15° to 24°, the JPX ONE fairway woods deliver the ideal balance of ball speed, forgiveness, and a playable trajectory, catering to golfers seeking effortless distance with Mizuno’s characteristic feel.
JPX ONE Hybrids: Compact Design with Fairway Wood Technology
The hybrids adopt the design philosophy of the fairway woods but in a more compact, iron-like shape. Their waffle-crown structure increases face stability and allows engineers to position mass lower and deeper in the head, enhancing launch and spin control. Similar to the fairway woods, the hybrids feature a MAS1C face with CORTECH chamber and the innovative sole design. Available lofts are 19°, 22°, 25°, and 28°, providing a smooth transition from long irons to fairway woods.
