Mizuno JPX ONE: New Woods with High-Tech Faces for More Speed and Control

Mizuno introduces the JPX ONE series—drivers, fairway woods, and hybrids featuring high-tech faces for enhanced speed, control, and the classic Mizuno feel.

Founded in 1906, Japanese golf manufacturer Mizuno unveils its new family of woods. The Mizuno JPX ONE series includes a new driver alongside various fairway woods and hybrids designed to redefine ball speed, forgiveness, and feel according to the manufacturer.

Mizuno JPX ONE: Driver with NANOALLOY Technology

At the heart of the new woods is the JPX ONE Driver—the world’s first driver featuring NANOALLOY face technology. In collaboration with Japanese chemical and materials manufacturer Toray, Mizuno developed a microscopic polymer dispersion that dynamically changes the face’s elasticity at impact. This material stores and releases more energy than traditional titanium or composite constructions, creating higher ball speeds across a larger sweet spot.

Combined with the newly developed CORTECH face, up to 0.35 mm thinner than previous generations, the CORAREA (high-speed rebound zone) increases by more than 15% compared to the ST-MAX series. Mizuno released two driver models in total.

The standard JPX ONE Driver features a slightly larger clubhead for greater stability and straighter ball flight, while the JPX ONE SELECT sports a compact, tour-tested shape and neutral to fade-biased weighting. Both models include adjustable weight systems and a Quick-Switch hosel to precisely tailor launch and spin to individual preferences.

Fairway Woods: CORTECH Technology for Maximum Energy Transfer

Also introduced are innovative fairway woods within the JPX ONE series equipped with a newly designed CORTECH chamber, varying the internal distance between sole and chamber walls. This geometry maximizes energy transfer across the entire face by flexing towards the toe and heel without sacrificing center face efficiency.

Each clubhead features a surrounding composite crown that saves crucial grams at the top, lowering the center of gravity for higher launch and reduced spin. A MAS1C steel face with variable thickness ensures maximum efficiency in energy transfer at impact, while the newly designed sole optimizes turf interaction for cleaner strikes and more consistent ball speeds from various lies. Available with lofts from 15° to 24°, the JPX ONE fairway woods offer an ideal balance of speed, forgiveness, and playable ball flight for golfers seeking effortless distance with characteristic Mizuno feel.

JPX ONE Hybrids: Compact Design with Fairway Wood Technology

The JPX ONE hybrids adopt the fairway woods’ design philosophy in a more compact, iron-like shape. Their waffle crown structure enhances face stability and allows engineers to position mass deeper and further back in the clubhead, promoting optimal launch and maximum spin control.

Similar to the fairway woods, these hybrids feature a MAS1C face combined with a CORTECH chamber and the innovative sole design. Offered in lofts of 19°, 22°, 25°, and 28°, they bridge the gap seamlessly from long irons to fairway woods.
