Mizuno JPX ONE: New Woods with High-Tech Faces for More Speed and Control

Mizuno launches the JPX ONE series – drivers, fairway woods, and hybrids featuring high-tech faces for enhanced speed, control, and signature Mizuno feel.

The Japanese golf manufacturer Mizuno, founded in 1906, unveils its new family of woods. The Mizuno JPX ONE series includes a new driver along with various fairway woods and hybrids, designed to redefine ball speed, forgiveness, and feel according to the manufacturer.

Mizuno JPX ONE: Driver with NANOALLOY Technology

The centerpiece of the new woods is the JPX ONE driver – the world’s first driver featuring NANOALLOY face technology. In collaboration with Japanese chemical and materials company Toray, Mizuno developed a novel microscopic polymer dispersion that dynamically alters the face’s elasticity at impact. This material stores and releases more energy than traditional titanium or composite constructions, producing higher ball speeds across a larger hitting area.

Combined with the newly developed CORTECH face, which is up to 0.35 mm thinner than previous generations, the CORAREA (high-speed rebound zone) increases by more than 15% compared to the ST-MAX series. Mizuno introduced two driver models. The standard JPX ONE driver has a slightly larger clubhead for increased stability and straighter ball flight, while the JPX ONE SELECT features a compact, tour-proven shape with neutral to fade-biased weighting. Both models have adjustable weight systems and a quick-switch hosel to precisely tailor launch and spin to individual needs.

Fairway Woods: CORTECH Technology for Maximum Energy Transfer

The JPX ONE series also includes innovative fairway woods with a newly designed CORTECH chamber, where the internal spacing between the sole and chamber walls is varied. This geometry maximizes energy transfer across the entire face flexing towards the toe and heel without sacrificing the center performance.

Each clubhead features a surrounding composite crown to reduce weight in the upper area and lower the center of gravity, resulting in higher launch and reduced spin. The MAS1C steel face with variable thickness ensures maximum efficiency in energy transfer at impact, while the newly developed sole optimizes turf interaction, enabling cleaner contact and consistent ball speeds from varied lies. With lofts ranging from 15° to 24°, the JPX ONE fairway woods provide the ideal mix of speed, forgiveness, and playable ball flight path—perfect for golfers seeking effortless distance with the characteristic Mizuno feel.

JPX ONE Hybrids: Compact Design with Fairway Wood Technology

The JPX ONE hybrids adopt the fairway wood design philosophy but in a more compact, iron-like shape. Their waffle-crown structure increases face stability and allows engineers to position freed mass deeper and further back in the clubhead. This supports optimal launch and maximum spin control.

Like the fairway woods, the hybrids feature a MASC1 face combined with a CORTECH chamber and the innovative sole design. Available in lofts of 19°, 22°, 25°, and 28°, they create a seamless transition from long irons to fairway woods.
