Mizuno JPX ONE: New High-Tech Woods for More Speed and Control

Mizuno introduces the JPX ONE series – drivers, fairway woods, and hybrids with advanced face technology for enhanced speed, control, and signature Mizuno feel.

Founded in 1906, the Japanese golf manufacturer Mizuno presents its new family of clubs in the woods category. The Mizuno JPX ONE series consists of a new driver as well as various fairway woods and hybrids, which claim to redefine ball speed, forgiveness, and feel.

Mizuno JPX ONE: Driver with NANOALLOY Technology

The centerpiece of the innovative woods is the JPX ONE Driver – the world’s first driver with NANOALLOY face technology. Developed in collaboration with Japanese chemical and material company Toray, Mizuno created a microscopic polymer dispersion that dynamically changes the elasticity of the face at impact. This material stores and releases more energy than traditional titanium or composite constructions, generating higher ball speeds across a significantly larger hitting area.

Combined with the newly developed CORTECH face, which is up to 0.35 mm thinner than previous generations, the CORAREA (high-speed rebound zone) increases by over 15% compared to the ST-MAX series. Mizuno introduced two driver models in this line.

The standard JPX ONE Driver features a slightly larger clubhead for greater stability and a straighter ball flight, while the JPX ONE SELECT offers a more compact, tour-proven shape with neutral to fade-biased weighting. Both models come with adjustable weight systems and a quick-switch hosel to precisely customize launch and spin to individual needs.

Fairway Woods: CORTECH Technology for Maximum Energy Transfer

The JPX ONE series also includes newly designed fairway woods. These feature a redesigned CORTECH chamber where the internal distance between sole and chamber walls is variably adjusted. This geometry maximizes energy transfer across the entire face without sacrificing center-face performance.

Each clubhead is equipped with a surrounding composite crown to save crucial grams at the top section and lowers the center of gravity. This results in higher launch and reduced spin. A MAS1C steel face with variable wall thickness ensures maximum energy efficiency at impact, while the completely new sole design optimizes turf interaction. This allows cleaner strikes and more consistent ball speeds from a variety of lies. With lofts ranging from 15° to 24°, the JPX ONE fairway woods offer the ideal combination of ball speed, forgiveness, and playable trajectory—for golfers seeking effortless distance with the characteristic Mizuno feel.

JPX ONE Hybrids: Compact Design with Fairway Wood Technology

The hybrids of the JPX ONE series adopt the design philosophy of the fairway woods but transfer it into a more compact, iron-like shape. Their waffle-crown structure increases face stability and allows Mizuno engineers to position free mass lower and further back in the clubhead, supporting optimal launch and maximum spin control.

Similar to the fairway woods, the hybrids feature a MAS1C face combined with a CORTECH chamber and the innovative sole design. Available lofts are 19°, 22°, 25°, and 28°, providing a seamless transition from long irons to fairway woods.
