Mizuno introduces the JPX ONE series – drivers, fairway woods, and hybrids with high-tech faces for increased speed, control, and that classic Mizuno feel.
The Japanese golf manufacturer Mizuno, founded in 1906, presents its new family of clubs in the woods category. The Mizuno JPX ONE series includes a new driver as well as various fairway woods and hybrids, which are said to redefine ball speed, forgiveness, and feel.
Mizuno JPX ONE: Driver with NANOALLOY Technology
At the heart of these innovative woods is the JPX ONE driver, the world’s first driver with NANOALLOY face technology. In collaboration with the Japanese chemical and materials company Toray, Mizuno developed a microscopic polymer dispersion that dynamically changes the face’s elasticity at impact. This material stores and releases more energy than traditional titanium or composite constructions, resulting in higher ball speeds across a larger sweet spot.
Combined with the newly developed CORTECH face, which is up to 0.35 mm thinner than previous generations, the so-called CORAREA (high-speed rebound zone) expands by more than 15% compared to the ST-MAX series. Mizuno has introduced two different driver models in total.
The standard JPX ONE driver features a slightly larger clubhead for increased stability and a straighter ball flight, while the JPX ONE SELECT has a more compact, tour-proven shape with a neutral to fade-biased weighting. Both models come with adjustable weight systems and a Quick-Switch hosel for precise tuning of launch and spin to individual needs.
Fairway Woods: CORTECH Technology for Maximum Energy Transfer
Also introduced are innovative fairway woods within the JPX ONE series. They feature a newly designed CORTECH chamber, where the internal distance between the sole and chamber walls is varied. This geometry maximizes energy transfer across the entire face flexing towards the toe and heel, without sacrificing center-face performance.
Each clubhead has a surrounding composite crown that saves crucial grams at the top and lowers the center of gravity, resulting in higher launch and reduced spin. A MAS1C steel face with variable thickness ensures maximum energy efficiency at impact, while the completely redesigned sole optimizes turf interaction for cleaner strikes and consistent ball speeds from various lies. Offered in lofts from 15° to 24°, the JPX ONE fairway woods deliver the ideal combo of ball speed, forgiveness, and playable ball flight for golfers seeking effortless distance with classic Mizuno feel.
JPX ONE Hybrids: Compact Design with Fairway Wood Technology
The hybrids in the JPX ONE series mirror the fairway wood design philosophy but in a more compact, iron-like shape. Their waffle crown structure enhances face stability and allows Mizuno engineers to relocate weight deeper and further back in the clubhead for optimal launch and maximum spin control.
Like the fairway woods, hybrids incorporate a MAS1C face combined with a CORTECH chamber and the innovative sole design. Available in lofts of 19°, 22°, 25°, and 28°, the hybrids bridge seamlessly between long irons and fairway woods.
