Mizuno JPX ONE: New Woods with Hightech Faces for Speed and Control

Mizuno introduces the JPX ONE series – drivers, fairway woods, and hybrids with advanced clubface technology for enhanced speed, control and classic Mizuno feel.

Founded in 1906, Japanese golf manufacturer Mizuno launches its new line of woods. The Mizuno JPX ONE series features a new driver along with various fairway woods and hybrids that promise to redefine ball speed, forgiveness, and feel according to the manufacturer.

Mizuno JPX ONE: Driver with NANOALLOY Technology

The centerpiece of the new woods is the JPX ONE Driver – the world’s first driver with NANOALLOY clubface technology. In collaboration with Japanese chemical and material company Toray, Mizuno developed a microscopic polymer dispersion that dynamically changes the elastic properties of the clubface at impact. This material stores and releases more energy during impact than conventional titanium or other composite constructions, generating higher ball speeds across a larger hitting area.

Combined with the newly developed CORTECH face, which is up to 0.35 mm thinner than previous generations, the so-called CORAREA (High-Speed Rebound Zone) increases by more than 15% compared to the ST-MAX series. Mizuno has introduced two driver models.

The regular JPX ONE Driver offers a slightly larger clubhead for increased stability and straighter ball flight, while the JPX ONE SELECT features a more compact, tour-proven shape with a neutral to fade-biased weighting. Both models include adjustable weight systems and a Quick-Switch hosel for precise customization of launch and spin according to individual needs.

Fairway Woods: CORTECH Technology for Maximum Energy Transfer

Also introduced are innovative fairway woods within the JPX ONE series. These feature a newly designed CORTECH chamber with strategically varied internal spacing between the sole and chamber wall. This geometry maximizes energy transfer across the entire clubface by flexing towards the toe and heel without sacrificing center-face performance.

Each clubhead has a surrounding composite crown that saves critical grams at the top and lowers the center of gravity, resulting in higher launch and reduced spin. A MAS1C steel face with variable thickness ensures maximum energy efficiency at impact, while a completely redesigned sole optimizes interaction with the turf. This enables cleaner strikes and more consistent ball speeds from diverse lies. Available in lofts from 15° to 24°, the JPX ONE fairway woods offer an ideal balance of ball speed, forgiveness, and playable ball flight for golfers seeking effortless distance with the characteristic Mizuno feel.

JPX ONE Hybrids: Compact Design with Fairway Wood Technology

The hybrids in the JPX ONE series adopt the fairway woods’ design philosophy but in a more compact, iron-like shape. Their waffle-crown structure enhances face stability and allows Mizuno’s engineers to position free mass deeper and further back in the clubhead, promoting optimal launch and maximum spin control.

Similar to the fairway woods, the hybrids feature a MAS1C face combined with a CORTECH chamber and the innovative sole design. They are available in lofts from 19°, 22°, 25°, to 28°, creating a seamless transition from long irons to fairway woods.
