Mizuno JPX ONE: New High-Tech Woods for More Speed and Control

Mizuno introduces the JPX ONE series featuring drivers, fairway woods, and hybrids with high-tech faces for enhanced speed, control, and the classic Mizuno feel.

The Japanese golf manufacturer Mizuno, founded in 1906, unveils its new family of clubs in the woods category. The Mizuno JPX ONE series comprises a new driver, several fairway woods, and hybrids designed to redefine ball speed, forgiveness, and feel according to the manufacturer.

Mizuno JPX ONE: Driver with NANOALLOY Technology

The centerpiece of the new woods is the JPX ONE driver, the world’s first driver featuring NANOALLOY face technology. Collaborating with Japanese chemical and materials company Toray, Mizuno developed a microscopic polymer dispersion that dynamically changes the face’s elasticity at impact. This material stores and releases more energy on impact than traditional titanium or composite constructions, generating higher ball speeds over a larger hitting area.

Combined with the newly developed CORTECH face, which is up to 0.35 mm thinner than previous generations, the so-called CORAREA (high-speed rebound zone) increases by more than 15% compared to the ST-MAX series. Mizuno introduced two driver models: the regular JPX ONE driver with a slightly larger clubhead for higher stability and straighter ball flight, and the JPX ONE SELECT with a more compact, tour-proven shape and neutral to fade-biased weighting. Both models feature adjustable weight systems and a Quick-Switch hosel to precisely customize launch and spin to individual needs.

Fairway Woods: CORTECH Technology Maximizing Energy Transfer

Also introduced are innovative fairway woods in the JPX ONE series. They include a newly designed CORTECH chamber where the internal spacing between sole and chamber wall is varied to maximize energy transfer across the entire face flexion without compromising the center. Each clubhead features a surrounding composite crown that saves crucial grams at the top, lowering the center of gravity to promote higher launch and reduced spin.

A MAS1C steel face with variable thickness ensures maximum energy efficiency at impact, while the newly developed sole optimizes interaction with the ground, allowing cleaner strikes and more consistent ball speeds from various lies. Offered with lofts from 15° to 24°, the JPX ONE fairway woods balance ball speed, forgiveness, and playable trajectory, ideal for golfers seeking effortless distance with the characteristic Mizuno feel.

JPX ONE Hybrids: Compact Design with Fairway Wood Technology

The hybrids follow the fairway woods’ design philosophy, translated into a more compact, iron-like shape. Their waffle crown structure enhances face stability and allows Mizuno engineers to position freely available mass deeper and further back in the clubhead, optimizing launch and maximizing spin control. Like the fairway woods, these hybrids come with a MAS1C face combined with a CORTECH chamber and the new sole design, available in lofts of 19°, 22°, 25°, and 28°, bridging the gap seamlessly between long irons and fairway woods.
