Mizuno JPX ONE: New Woods with High-Tech Faces for More Speed and Control

Mizuno introduces the JPX ONE series – drivers, fairway woods and hybrids with high-tech faces for more speed, control and classic Mizuno feel.

Founded in 1906, the Japanese golf manufacturer Mizuno presents its new family of woods in the JPX ONE series. This collection features a new driver along with various fairway woods and hybrids, designed to redefine ball speed, forgiveness and feel.

Mizuno JPX ONE: Driver with NANOALLOY Technology

The highlight of the new woods is the JPX ONE Driver – the world’s first driver featuring NANOALLOY face technology. In collaboration with Japanese chemical and materials company Toray, Mizuno developed a novel microscopic polymer dispersion that dynamically changes the elasticity of the clubface at impact. This material stores and releases more energy than traditional titanium or composite constructions, resulting in higher ball speeds across a larger area of the face.

Combined with the newly developed CORTECH face, which is up to 0.35 mm thinner than previous models, the so-called CORAREA (High-Speed Rebound Zone) is enlarged by over 15% compared to the ST-MAX series. Mizuno introduced two different driver models: the standard JPX ONE driver features a slightly larger clubhead for greater stability and straighter ball flight, while the JPX ONE SELECT offers a more compact, tour-proven shape with neutral to fade-biased weighting. Both drivers include adjustable weight systems and a Quick-Switch hosel for precise customization of launch and spin.

Fairway Woods: CORTECH Technology for Maximum Energy Transfer

The JPX ONE series also includes innovative fairway woods with a newly designed CORTECH chamber where internal spacing between the sole and chamber wall is varied intentionally. This geometry maximizes energy transfer across the entire face through flexion toward the toe and heel, without compromising center face performance.

Each clubhead features a surrounding composite crown that saves key grams in the upper section and lowers the center of gravity. This results in higher launch and reduced spin. The MAS1C steel face with variable thickness ensures efficient energy exchange at impact, while the newly developed sole optimizes turf interaction for cleaner strikes and more consistent ball speeds from various lies. Lofts range from 15° to 24°, offering a perfect blend of speed, forgiveness and playable trajectory for golfers seeking effortless distance with Mizuno’s signature feel.

JPX ONE Hybrids: Compact Design with Fairway Wood Technology

The hybrids adopt the design philosophy of the fairway woods in a more compact, iron-like shape. Their waffle crown structure enhances face stability and allows engineers to position mass deeper and further back in the clubhead, promoting optimal launch and maximum spin control.

Similar to the fairway woods, JPX ONE hybrids incorporate a MAS1C face, CORTECH chamber and the novel sole design. Available lofts of 19°, 22°, 25°, and 28° provide a seamless transition from long irons to fairway woods.
