Mizuno JPX ONE: New Woods with High-Tech Faces for More Speed and Control

Mizuno introduces the JPX ONE series – drivers, fairway woods, and hybrids featuring high-tech faces for enhanced speed, control, and classic Mizuno feel.

Founded in 1906, the Japanese golf manufacturer Mizuno presents its new family of wood clubs. The Mizuno JPX ONE series includes a new driver along with various fairway woods and hybrids, which aim to redefine ball speed, forgiveness, and feel.

Mizuno JPX ONE: Driver with NANOALLOY Technology

The centerpiece of the new woods is the JPX ONE Driver – the world’s first driver featuring NANOALLOY face technology. In collaboration with Japanese chemistry and materials company Toray, Mizuno developed a microscopic polymer dispersion that dynamically changes the elasticity of the face at impact. This material stores and releases more energy during impact than traditional titanium or composite constructions, generating higher ball speeds over a significantly larger sweet spot.

Combined with the newly developed CORTECH face, which is up to 0.35 mm thinner than previous generations, the CORAREA (High-Speed Rebound Zone) is increased by more than 15% compared to the ST-MAX series. Mizuno introduced two different driver models: the regular JPX ONE Driver with a slightly larger head for higher stability and straighter ball flight, and the JPX ONE SELECT featuring a more compact, tour-proven shape with neutral to fade-biased weighting. Both models include adjustable weight systems and a Quick-Switch hosel to precisely tailor launch and spin to individual preferences.

Fairway Woods: CORTECH Technology for Maximum Energy Transfer

Also introduced are innovative fairway woods within the JPX ONE series, featuring a newly designed CORTECH chamber where the internal spacing between sole and chamber walls is specifically varied. This geometry maximizes energy transfer across the entire face by allowing flexion toward the toe and heel without sacrificing the center performance.

Each clubhead incorporates a surrounding composite crown that saves crucial grams in the upper area, lowering the center of gravity for higher launch and reduced spin. A MAS1C steel face with variable thickness ensures maximum efficiency in energy transfer at impact, while the newly engineered sole optimizes turf interaction for cleaner contact and more consistent ball speeds from various lies. Available in lofts from 15° to 24°, the JPX ONE fairway woods deliver an ideal blend of ball speed, forgiveness, and playable ball flight for golfers seeking effortless distance combined with Mizuno’s characteristic feel.

JPX ONE Hybrids: Compact Design with Fairway Wood Technology

The hybrids adopt the fairway woods’ design philosophy but in a more compact and iron-like shape. Their waffle crown structure enhances face stability, allowing Mizuno engineers to position saved mass deeper and further back in the clubhead, promoting optimal launch and maximum spin control.

Similar to the fairway woods, the hybrids feature a MAS1C face combined with a CORTECH chamber and the advanced sole design. Available in lofts of 19°, 22°, 25°, and 28°, they provide a seamless transition from long irons to fairway woods.
