Mizuno JPX ONE: New Woods with High-Tech Faces for More Speed

Mizuno introduces the JPX ONE series – drivers, fairway woods and hybrids with high-tech faces for enhanced speed and control.

The Japanese golf manufacturer Mizuno, founded in 1906, presents its new family of woods. The Mizuno JPX ONE series includes a new driver as well as various fairway woods and hybrids, which are said to redefine ball speed, forgiveness, and the classic Mizuno feel.

Mizuno JPX ONE: Driver with NANOALLOY Technology

At the heart of the innovative woods is the JPX ONE driver – the world’s first driver featuring NANOALLOY face technology. In collaboration with Japanese chemical and materials manufacturer Toray, Mizuno developed a microscopic polymer dispersion that dynamically changes the elasticity of the clubface at impact. This material stores and releases more energy than traditional titanium or other composite constructions, generating higher ball speeds over a larger sweet spot.

Combined with the newly developed CORTECH face, which is up to 0.35 mm thinner than previous generations, the CORAREA high-speed rebound zone is increased by more than 15% compared to the ST-MAX series. Mizuno introduced two driver models: the standard JPX ONE Driver with a slightly larger clubhead for greater stability and straighter ball flight, and the JPX ONE SELECT with a more compact, tour-tested shape with neutral to fade-biased weighting. Both models feature adjustable weighting systems and Quick-Switch hosels for precise launch and spin customization.

Fairway Woods: CORTECH Technology for Maximum Energy Transfer

Also introduced are new fairway woods in the JPX ONE series, featuring a reengineered CORTECH chamber that varies the internal distance between the sole and chamber walls. This geometry maximizes energy transfer across the entire face without sacrificing center-face performance. Each clubhead has a surrounding composite crown that reduces weight high on the clubhead to lower the center of gravity, resulting in higher launch and reduced spin. The MAS1C steel face with variable thickness optimizes energy efficiency at impact, while the newly developed sole improves turf interaction for cleaner strikes and consistent ball speeds from various lies. Available with lofts from 15° to 24°, these woods offer effortless distance combined with Mizuno’s signature feel.

JPX ONE Hybrids: Compact Design with Fairway Wood Technology

The hybrids carry over the fairway wood design philosophy into a more compact, iron-like shape. Their waffle crown structure enhances face stability, allowing engineers to redistribute mass deeper and lower in the clubhead to optimize launch and spin control. Like the fairway woods, the hybrids feature MAS1C faces with a CORTECH chamber and the innovative sole design. Offered in lofts of 19°, 22°, 25°, and 28°, they provide a seamless transition from long irons to fairway woods.
