In early September, the MercedesTrophy family gathered at Öschberghof for the 2025 Germany Final under the motto ‘We are family’.
MercedesTrophy Germany Final 2025: Golf, Strategy and Celebration
From September 1st to 4th, the Öschberghof resort became the epicenter of amateur golf in Germany as 52 finalists competed in the MercedesTrophy Germany Final 2025. The event was filled with camaraderie, precision, and thrilling golf action, enhanced by celebrity encounters, test drives, coaching sessions, gourmet experiences, and more.
The MercedesTrophy is an international invitational tournament series by Mercedes-Benz, held in over 60 countries. In 2025, 13 qualifying tournaments took place across Germany with 876 participants. Each event crowned winners in HCPI classes A, B, and C, along with one wildcard, all earning a spot in the national final. Ultimately, three players qualified for the World Final.
Team Spirit and Unique Challenges
Teams of five competed, with four active players and one captain. The best two net scores per hole counted toward the team total, making every shot and strategy crucial. Highlights included ‘Longest Drive’ and ‘Nearest to the Pin’ contests, with prizes like Mercedes-Benz Driving Event vouchers and AIG Women’s Open 2026 tickets. A special challenge involved beating pro golfer Philipp Mejow in a ‘Nearest to the Pin’—only one participant succeeded.
Additional events included a welcome dinner hosted by RTL presenter Wolfram Kons, a hut evening with award ceremonies, and a driving experience to the Rhine Falls. The final round featured a hole-in-one challenge for a new Mercedes-Benz CLA, which remained unclaimed. Team Rhein-Ruhr won the team title with 180 points, followed by STERNAUTO Sachsen (177) and STERNPARTNER (173).
Charity and Personal Impressions
The event supported the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, raising €47,610 through donations collected at the qualifying tournaments. Laureus ambassador Roman Weidenfeller accepted the symbolic check during a special evening ceremony.
Experiencing the event firsthand, the Öschberghof impressed with its five-star service and 45-hole golf offering. The Mercedes-Benz team truly embodied the ‘We are Family’ spirit, creating an unforgettable atmosphere that words can hardly capture—you simply have to experience it yourself.
