Membership Restored, No Suspension: Koepka Returns to PGA Tour

First start at the Farmers, Vijay Singh returns at 62, and Charley Hull is launching a YouTube channel. The Back Nine.

Brooks Koepka has officially withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf League season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major champion remains connected to the rival circuit but needs more family time. This amicable decision was announced by LIV CEO Scott McNeil. Koepka, known for thriving on high-level competition, found limited motivation in LIV, having initially joined in 2022 seeking to secure his financial future after injury concerns. Questions remain if he had to buy out or repay part of his guaranteed contract and if he will remain the owner of his LIV team Smash GC, now captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculations are rife about Koepka’s next playing venues—whether the DP World Tour, where he would have immediate eligibility likely with a penalty, or the PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension since his last LIV event. The severe lifetime ban by former commissioner Jay Monahan has since been significantly softened. According to ESPN’s Mark Schlabach, Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership that lapsed after 2022 and seek reinstatement as a member.
