Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Returns to PGA Tour Immediately

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh is back at it, Charley Hull soon on YouTube. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner remains connected to the competitor circuit but needs more time for family. This was agreed amicably, according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil. Koepka is a competitor who thrives on high-level competition, which he found limited in LIV. He joined LIV in 2022 mainly due to injury concerns and to secure his retirement funds. Questions remain whether he had to buy out or refund part of his guaranteed salary. He remains owner of the LIV team Smash GC, with Talor Gooch as the new captain.

Speculations abound where Koepka will play next: DP World Tour, where he’d be immediately eligible possibly after a penalty payment, or the PGA Tour, where a one-year suspension from his last LIV appearance awaits. Former lifetime bans by Commissioner Jay Monahan have been significantly softened. ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach reported Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership after it expired post-2022.
