First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh wants to compete again, Charley Hull soon on YouTube. The Back Nine.
As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf League season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner will remain connected to the rival circuit but needs more family time. This amicable agreement was officially stated by LIV CEO Scott McNeil. Koepka is a competitor who thrives on high-level contests, which he found only limited at LIV. He joined LIV in 2022 mainly due to injury concerns, seeking a solid retirement fund. Thus, skipping his last contracted season is unsurprising, though questions remain about possible buyouts or refunds. He remains owner of LIV team Smash GC, which appointed Talor Gooch as the new captain.
Speculation surrounds where Koepka will play next — DP World Tour, where he could be immediately eligible likely with a penalty, or PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension after his last LIV participation. However, lifelong bans imposed by former commissioner Jay Monahan were greatly softened. Returning LIV players, especially high-profile ones, benefit the PGA Tour, which holds stronger leverage. ESPN’s Mark Schlabach reported Koepka formally applied last Friday to reinstate his PGA Tour membership.
