Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Returns to PGA Tour Immediately

First start at Farmers, Vijay Singh makes a comeback, Charley Hull to launch YouTube channel soon. The Back Nine.

Brooks Koepka has officially withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major champion remains connected to the competing circuit but needs more family time. This mutual agreement was stated by LIV CEO Scott McNeil. Koepka is known as a competitive player who thrives in high-level competition, something he only partially found in LIV. His 2022 switch to the Saudi-backed tour was mainly to secure financial stability for retirement due to injury concerns, so skipping the final contract year isn’t surprising, though questions remain about buyouts and his ownership of the LIV team Smash GC, now led by Talor Gooch.

Speculation is rife about where Koepka will play next. The DP World Tour could grant immediate eligibility, likely with a penalty, or the PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension after his last LIV event, following significant easing of former commissioner Jay Monahan’s lifetime bans. Reconciliation seems favored, especially since every returning LIV player benefits the established tours. According to ESPN’s Mark Schlabach, Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership after not renewing post-2022 and to rejoin the playing field.
