Koepka Rejoins PGA Tour with Membership Renewed and No Suspension

First start at the Farmers, Vijay Singh back in action, and Charley Hull launching her own YouTube channel soon. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has officially withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner will remain connected to the rival circuit but needs more family time. This was agreed on amicably, according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil. Yet, Koepka is a competitor who thrives on high-level competition, which he partly lacked at LIV. Originally, he joined LIV in 2022 mostly due to injury concerns and to secure a substantial retirement fund. Thus, foregoing his last contract year is not surprising, although questions remain whether he had to pay back part of his guaranteed salary. He still owns his LIV team, Smash GC, which named Talor Gooch the new captain.

Speculation is rife on where Koepka will play next—DP World Tour where he would be immediately eligible, possibly paying a penalty, or PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension post-LIV after lifetime bans were softened. ESPN’s Mark Schlabach reported Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership and rejoin the player pool.
