Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Immediately Back on PGA Tour

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh eager for more, Charley Hull soon on YouTube. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner will remain connected to the rival circuit but needs more family time. LIV CEO Scott McNeil stated it was an amicable agreement. Koepka is known as a competitive player who thrives on high-level competition, which he lacked at LIV. He joined LIV in 2022 mainly due to injuries and to secure a lucrative retirement fund, so skipping his final contract year is unsurprising though questions remain about financial settlements and whether he retains ownership of his LIV team Smash GC, now captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculations arise about which tours Koepka will join next. He is immediately eligible for the DP World Tour—likely facing a penalty—or for the PGA Tour, where he serves a one-year suspension after his last LIV event. However, recent leniency from the PGA allows prominent LIV returnees back without harsh penalties. ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach revealed Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership, which had not been renewed after 2022.
