Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Immediately Back on PGA Tour

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh eager to compete again, Charley Hull launching on YouTube soon. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major champion remains connected to the rival circuit but needs more family time, according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil’s official statement. Koepka, known as a competitor who thrives in top-level sports battles, was less motivated in LIV. He originally joined LIV in 2022 due to injury concerns about his career ending and to secure financial stability for retirement. Thus, his skipping the last contracted season raises questions about possible buyouts or partial salary repayments. He still owns the LIV team Smash GC, which has appointed Talor Gooch as captain.

Speculation grows about where Koepka will play next – presumably eligible on the DP World Tour immediately, possibly with a fine? Or on the PGA Tour, where a one-year suspension from his last LIV appearance remains in place but has been softened from a lifetime ban. Returning LIV players benefit the Tour, and it’s now revealed that Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership, from which he resigned in 2022.
