Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Back on PGA Tour Immediately

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh eager for more, Charley Hull soon on YouTube. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has officially opted out of the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major champion plans to remain connected to the rival circuit but needs more family time. This was reportedly a mutual agreement according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil. Koepka, known for thriving in high-level competition, had limited motivation at LIV, having joined primarily due to injury concerns in 2022 and the opportunity for solid retirement income. His decision to skip the final contractual season raises questions about buyouts or partial refunds. He remains owner of LIV team Smash GC, which named Talor Gooch captain.

Most speculation centers on which tours Koepka will play next: the DP World Tour, which would grant immediate eligibility likely for a penalty, or the PGA Tour, where a one-year suspension since his last LIV event looms, though previous lifetime bans have been eased. According to ESPN’s Mark Schlabach, Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership, which was not extended post-2022, aiming to rejoin the playing field.
