Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Back on PGA Tour Immediately

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh aims for a comeback, Charley Hull soon on YouTube. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner remains connected to the rival circuit but needs more family time. This was amicably agreed upon, says LIV CEO Scott McNeil. However, Koepka is known as a competitive spirit who thrives in high-level competition, which was somewhat limited at LIV. He joined LIV in 2022 mainly due to injury concerns fearing an early career end and to secure retirement funds, so skipping the last contractual season is unsurprising, though questions remain about potential payouts or his ownership status of the LIV Smash GC team now captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculations are rampant on where Koepka will play next — the DP World Tour where he would be immediately eligible, possibly with a penalty, or the PGA Tour where he faces a one-year suspension after his last LIV appearance, albeit previously lifetime bans have been eased. According to ESPN’s Mark Schlabach, Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership and rejoin the player pool since his membership was not extended after 2022.
