Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Back on the PGA Tour Immediately

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh aiming for a comeback, Charley Hull soon on YouTube. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner remains connected to the competing circuit but needs more time for family, according to a friendly agreement stated by LIV CEO Scott McNeil. Koepka is a competitive player who thrives on high-level competition, something he lacked at LIV. He initially joined LIV in 2022 due to injuries threatening his career end and to secure a good retirement fund. Questions remain whether he had to buy out or return part of his guaranteed salary, or if he still owns his LIV team Smash GC, now captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculation rises on which tours Koepka will compete next — DP World Tour where he would be immediately eligible, possibly with a penalty, or PGA Tour, where he would serve a one-year suspension after his last LIV appearance. Former PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan’s lifetime bans were significantly softened. Now the key question seems partly answered: according to ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach, Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership from 2022 and be reinstated as a player.
