Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Back on PGA Tour Immediately

First start already at the Farmers; Vijay Singh eager to compete again; Charley Hull launching on YouTube soon. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has officially withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner intends to stay connected to the competing circuit but needs more time for his family. This was reportedly a mutual friendly agreement according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil. However, Koepka, known as a competitive spirit who thrives on high-level competition, was less motivated on the LIV Tour. In 2022, he joined LIV primarily due to injury concerns about ending his career and to secure retirement funds. His skipping the last contracted season raises questions about possible buyouts or salary repayments and whether he remains an owner of the LIV team Smash GC, now captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculation is rife about which tour Koepka will compete on next. The DP World Tour would grant him immediate playing rights, possibly with a penalty. On the PGA Tour, he faces a one-year suspension following his last LIV event, but previous lifetime bans have been significantly softened. Notably, Koepka has formally applied to reactivate his PGA Tour membership, aiming for reinstatement despite the suspension.
